Privacy
Your messages never leave your phone or computer. When you upload a chat to WhatsTyped, the file is read and analysed by code running inside your own browser. Nothing is uploaded. There is no server receiving your messages, no database, no account, no email capture.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab, and run an analysis — you'll see no data leaving.
The one exception, clearly labelled
If you buy the premium unlock and choose the AI-written story, your browser sends only anonymous statistics (counts, percentages, your two Texter Types) to our server so an AI can write your story. Never message text. Never names. This is opt-in and labelled at the moment you tap it.
Payments
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card details. The only thing stored on your device is your unlock key (in localStorage), which you can clear any time.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics — cookieless, page-level only. No user tracking, no fingerprinting.
